MISSION.
The Lawrence Guy Family Foundation is a 501c(3) organization that provides resources and opportunities for financially disadvantaged families. Lawrence and his wife Andrea Guy established the foundation in 2019 with the goal to inspire and help disadvantaged families to achieve their full potential.
INSPIRATION.
Lawrence grew up in Las Vegas, NV and overcame a lot of personal challenges and obstacles to become an All-Decade Defensive Tackle for the New England Patriots. He knows that he would not be the man he is today without the people who provided guidance over the years and instilled the positive values and characteristics in his life, which is why he and his wife are so passionate about giving back to the communities they call home.
ABOUT LAWRENCE GUY
Lawrence Guy was drafted in the seventh round of the 2011 NFL Draft and has since made a name for himself as one of the toughest defensive players in the NFL. As an NFL veteran, Lawrence has been a key defensive player for the New England Patriots. In his first season with the Patriots, Lawrence helped lead the Patriots to another AFC Championship. The team won the AFC Championship and made it to Super Bowl LIII. Lawrence had record numbers in the big game and helped lead the Patriots to their 6th Super Bowl title.
Perhaps more impressive than his performance on the field is Lawrence’s fervent desire to give back off the field. Lawrence makes an effort to dive into the community each season and give back to those in need. Throughout his career, Lawrence has hosted various community initiatives, including - events at local Boys & Girls Clubs, Thanksgiving giveaways for families in need, back to school events & Holiday shopping sprees for local children in need. Lawrence has made a huge impact in various cities throughout the US, but specifically in his hometown of Las Vegas, NV, Baltimore, MD, Miami, FL and most recently, Boston, MA.
Lawrence aims to let his career as a football player serve as his platform to improve the lives of people in need.
Andrea Guy was born in Barranquilla, Colombia and raised in Miami, FL. She is currently a full-time mother to her daughter Adriana, son Lawrence Jr (LJ) and dedicated wife.
Andrea is extremely passionate about giving back to the communities she calls home. Andrea is particularly passionate about helping victims of sex trafficking. She has worked closely with various organization’s who provide resources for victims of sexual exploitation.
Over the past decade, Andrea has hosted various charitable initiatives for women, children and families in need. She's also done extensive philanthropic work in her home country of Colombia.
She looks forward to making a difference in the community for years to come.
